You can delete typed characters with Backspace. Renames persist through save games, and work in multiplayer (any player can rename their factions). The mod can be added and removed at any point. No vanilla files are overwritten, and this mod should be compatible with any mod. In order for the faction name to update in the Politics Tab, exit and reenter it. This is a real faction rename (using set_faction_name effect), there are no smoke and mirrors involved.
Support for English, Russian (thanks to DRAFT), Polish and German keyboards is included. Just click on the Rename Faction button near faction name in the Politics tab (click on your flag in the corner). To rename a faction, you need to be its leader. Rename your faction to whatever name you want, with your keyboard.
